Empowering Women Through Livelihood Opportunities
Development Alert continues to empower women by providing them with skills training and livelihood opportunities that promote independence and economic stability. During this reporting period, women have participated in training programs focused on tailoring, small business management, and income-generating activities. These programs are designed to equip participants with practical skills that can be immediately applied to improve their livelihoods.
The results have been encouraging. Many women have started small businesses, generating income to support their families and improve their living conditions. This financial independence has also enhanced their confidence and decision-making power within their households and communities. In addition, women are reinvesting their earnings into their children’s education and family well-being, creating a positive cycle of development.
The program has also fostered peer support networks, where participants share knowledge and encourage one another. However, many more women still lack access to such opportunities. Continued donor support is essential to expand these initiatives, provide tools and capital, and empower more women to build sustainable livelihoods. By investing in women, Development Alert is strengthening families and communities as a whole.
