This project will purchase land in a more accessible location with electricity, internet connectivity, and build a permanent office for Development Alert. In addition, it will also provide monthly facilitation of $200 to at least 3 key volunteers of the organization who have worked tirelessly since 2020 to grow the organization and support communities so that they can serve the community better.
Development alert operates from home presenting a huge challenge for visitors, supporters and donors to easily access the offices. In addition, the current location being in a rural area lacks electricity, with very poor road network, and unreliable internet connectivity. These makes operations extremely very hard thus the organization unable to timely meet the needs of community and supporters. As a volunteer run organization, non of the volunteer is facilitated and unable to meet their needs.
Purchase land in a peri-urban location with better accessibility and Build a permanent office for Development Alert. Ensure better access to necessary infrastructures like electricity, internet connectivity. Provide the much needed monthly facilitation to Key volunteer staff.
The Project will ensure Development Alert has a permanent office in a better location with the necessary infrastructures like electricity, internet, and better road network. This will ensure better operations and easy access to the offices of the organization by supporters, community and donors. It will also ensure consistency in operation of the organization thus enabling to support more communities. The staff will be motivated and stable to concentrate on empowering communities.
