Many elderly women in rural communities sleep on bare floors or worn-out mats, leading to body pain, poor rest, and health complications. Without family support or resources, they struggle for basic comfort. This project will provide 200 elderly women with proper beds, mattresses, and bedding to restore dignity and improve their quality of life. The need is urgent, as lack of restful sleep worsens age-related illnesses and weakens immunity.
In many low-income communities, elderly women are left without basic resources, including safe sleeping conditions. Many rest on cold floors or torn mats, which leads to joint pain, respiratory issues, and worsened chronic conditions. Poverty and neglect leave them unable to afford simple necessities like a mattress or pillow. As they age, poor sleep further weakens their bodies and limits their dignity and comfort in their final years.
This project provides elderly women with safe and comfortable sleeping arrangements, including mattresses, pillows, bedsheets, and mosquito nets. By equipping 200 women, the project restores dignity and prevents health complications linked to poor rest and exposure. With better sleep and protection from disease, these women gain improved comfort, health, and peace of mind in their daily lives.
Improved sleep quality can reduce pain, illness, and stress among elderly women, allowing them to live with dignity. Access to comfortable bedding creates healthier living conditions and lowers risks of malaria and respiratory infections. By meeting this basic but often overlooked need, the project brings relief and stability to older women, while strengthening community care and respect for the aging population.
