As the Cost of Living crisis deepened, we opened the doors on a new Community Canteen.
We now spend every Wednesday in the Clapham Park Cube, working with volunteers to turn surplus food into a hot, healthy meal. Anyone is welcome, and we are already seeing many members of the community come together to spend time with their neighbours, and get some good food inside them.
The feedback at the canteen has been heartwarming, and we are so pleased we can be supporting more South Londoners. We are thankful for the support we've receieved from Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, Countryside and Clapham Park, as well as everyone who has volunteered and donated to get this new Canteen setup.
Alongside this work, we've also continued to support the Elephant and Castle and Tooting communities. Across December we welcomed more teams of volunteers into our exisiting canteens, and were able to host festive meals that brightened what can be a difficult time for so many.
