We are delighted to share another important milestone in the implementation of the Digital Innovation Academy (DIA). Over the past few months, the program has successfully progressed from foundational digital skills to the development of real innovation projects led by young participants across Morocco.
Following the completion of the Digital Literacy, Design Thinking, and AI Foundations phases, participants have now entered one of the most exciting stages of the academy: project development and mentorship.
Working in multidisciplinary teams, participants are transforming the ideas they developed during the Design Thinking workshops into innovative projects that address real social and environmental challenges within their communities. To support this process, eSTEM Morocco has started assigning experienced mentors who will guide each team throughout the ideation, development, and presentation phases.
The academy continues to deliver its hybrid learning model through both online technical sessions and in-person workshops hosted in our regional Digital Houses across Salé, Tangier, Casablanca, and El Mers (Fès-Meknès region). These face-to-face sessions have strengthened collaboration among participants while allowing them to apply the knowledge acquired during the online courses in a practical and interactive environment.
Another major achievement during this period has been the continued integration of the HP AI Academy certification pathway through edX, enabling participants to strengthen their understanding of Artificial Intelligence while preparing for future careers in the digital economy.
Beyond technical skills, the program is helping young people develop leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial competencies - essential skills for increasing employability and creating innovative solutions for their communities.
What's next?
Over the coming weeks, participants will continue developing their projects with the support of their mentors while completing the remaining AI and entrepreneurship modules. They will also prepare to showcase their innovative solutions during upcoming pitch sessions and the Morocco Social Impact Summit (MSIS 2026), where they will have the opportunity to present their ideas to experts, partners, and potential supporters.
