Ukrainian Cancer Relief Program: Delivering Hope and Life-Saving Care

Mission Kharkiv continues to provide life-saving medications to cancer patients across Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. In Kharkiv region alone, nearly 100,000 people are currently registered with cancer diagnoses. These patients urgently need consistent medical support and access to essential treatment.

Between January and the end of March 2025, Mission Kharkiv delivered critical cancer medications to 800 patients, distributing a total of 11,636 units of essential drugs.

Medication distributions took place every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at trusted medical facilities including the Lviv Institute of Blood Pathology, the Lviv Regional Oncology Center, and the Kharkiv Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology.

In addition to Kharkiv and Lviv, patients from Poltava, Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipro, and Rivne regions also received urgently needed oncology medicines through this program.

A Story of Strength: Olga's Journey

We’d like to share the story of Olga, a woman of incredible resilience. She has battled cancer twice — first lymphoma, and then in 2023, she was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. All this while her husband and son served on the front lines, defending Ukraine.

“I didn’t tell my family for a long time to avoid worrying them, but when surgery became inevitable, we came together and decided to fight as one,” Olga said.

When she faced difficulty accessing the treatment she needed, Mission Kharkiv became her lifeline.

“High-quality medicines are expensive. Without this help, I can’t imagine how I would have managed,” she told us, her eyes filling with tears.
