Delivering Life-Saving Medicines Across Ukraine
Throughout July, August, and September 2025, Mission Kharkiv continued its unwavering commitment to ensuring access to life-saving oncology and chronic disease medications for patients across Ukraine – people whose lives depend on consistent treatment amid war.
In July, we provided 409 individual patients with 1,166 units of essential medicines. Additionally, 4,868 units were distributed to 12 medical institutions and partner facilities across the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, and Rivne regions, helping sustain uninterrupted care in both frontline and rear areas.
In August, 459 patients received vital medications, totaling 1,490 drug units, while another 4,392 units were supplied to 10 hospitals and oncology centers throughout Ukraine.
By September, our efforts reached a record number of 549 patients, who collectively received 1,738 units of medication. At the same time, 5,083 units were delivered to 24 medical facilities, ensuring that thousands of people could continue treatment despite ongoing disruptions in the healthcare system.
All medicines were distributed through our verified cold-chain network – the Cold Bunker in Kharkiv and the Christian Medical Association’s warehouse in Lviv – guaranteeing safe storage and transportation.
Every delivery represents more than logistics; it is a lifeline for those living through illness and war.
We remain deeply grateful to our partners, medical institutions, and supporters for helping us continue this mission. Together, we ensure that treatment remains within reach – even in the hardest times.
Expanding Access Nationwide: Adalimumab Distribution
During this reporting period, Mission Kharkiv delivered a large-scale humanitarian shipment of Adalimumab, a life-saving biologic medication, to 61 public healthcare institutions across 17 regions of Ukraine.
This was not just logistics – it was a coordinated, data-driven operation that began with a verified national request and ended with the medicine safely reaching hospitals.
Adalimumab requires strict cold-chain conditions, which we maintained from storage to final delivery at each hospital.
Human Story: “Hope for a Second Life” – Valentyna’s Journey
Life changed completely for Valentyna Turta in 2024, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“It was a shock,” she recalls. “You never think it will happen to you.”
In August, she underwent surgery – the first step in her fight for life. But another challenge lay ahead: chemotherapy. The medications she needed were not only expensive but often impossible to find in Kharkiv’s pharmacies.
It was her doctors and friends who told her about Mission Kharkiv – an organization supporting cancer patients with free access to life-saving treatment. That advice changed everything.
“If it weren’t for Mission Kharkiv, I don’t know how I would have continued my treatment,” she explains. “They gave me the medicines that are both very costly and completely unavailable in pharmacies.”
Through Mission Kharkiv, Valentyna received Neupogen and Endoxan, critical components of her therapy.
“It’s more than financial help,” she says. “It’s the belief that you are not alone in your struggle. This support gave me hope for a second life.”
Together, We Make Healing Possible
Thanks to your continued trust and support, Mission Kharkiv is able to deliver not just medicines – but hope, dignity, and continuity of care to thousands of patients across Ukraine.
Each delivery, each vial, and each patient story reminds us that together, we are ensuring that access to treatment remains possible, even in the hardest times.
Thank you for standing with us. Your partnership truly saves lives.
