Our Girls are safe at school

It has always been a challenge for girls from vulnerable families to stay in school during their menstruation. Every month, many girls would miss three to four days of school simply because they couldn’t afford sanitary pads. But thanks to your support, this challenge has been overcome. Now, these girls can attend school all year round without interruption!

This year, we didn’t have any new students joining high school due to changes in the education system. As a result, we distributed the menstrual kits to ongoing students in three village day secondary schools, most of whom come from vulnerable families. Many of these students performed well in their primary school national exams, but due to financial constraints, they couldn’t attend the boarding schools they were admitted to. This is why they often struggle to afford menstrual products.

We are deeply grateful for your support, which has allowed these girls to stay in school despite the challenges they face. It has been an immense relief for them, especially after the stress of not being able to join boarding schools. This year, we distributed 1,000 kits of reusable pads to three schools, with each receiving over 300 kits. The recipients were Form Two students, as we did not have Form One students this year.

Once again, thank you for the incredible impact you're making in the lives of these girls. Your generosity is helping them stay in school and pursue their dreams, despite the many challenges they face.
