There are many talented youth golfers in The Bahamas who cannot afford the typical elite golf academy fees, but have dreams of playing collegiate golf and beyond. Harris Golf Academy offers talented players, whose socioeconomic background may naturally eliminate them from being afforded any such opportunity, the same chance as their counterparts. Harris Golf Academy offers subsidized fees or full scholarships for these players to pursue their dreams.
Elite golf academies are not affordable for most persons. Students who can afford the elite golf academies are able to hone their skills sooner and with more reps, thereby creating more professional players from their ranks. The students who are not able to afford it, do not have an ideal practice facility, have less hours to practice, and ultimately miss out on the opportunity to perfect their craft.
Harris Golf Academy will offer subsidized fees for talented players to attend the academy. This will allow the Bahamian youth the opportunity to dare to dream. HGA will create a large practice facility for these students to perfect their craft, and ultimately have a place to call home.
This project will create the next longstanding group of elite Bahamian golfers. It will also create a space for the next generation of Bahamian golfers to practice their skills, thereby changing the trajectory of their golf lives.
