Through Homeless Diamonds magazine vulnerable people can develop their creative potential; especially self expression, self confidence, teamwork and communication. It also helps develop skills in English, creative writing, art, design, photography and IT.
Residents of St Mungo's homeless hostels are often traumatised, isolated and have totally lost confidence in themselves and others. Yet, they are also talented, creative people who have much to offer the community and wider society.
Homeless Diamonds magazine gives these people a voice and a creative platform to develop their gifts and share them with others. Residents can take charge of their recovery, boost their self esteem and help others.
Every person has gifts and experiences that need to be celebrated but often go undiscovered. They are valuable and can help us all towards greater understanding of ourselves and others, leading to a more inclusive society.
