Dear friends, we have some really good news!
We continue our usual labor: we keep on organizing different activities for the village children and holding quarterly meetings to deepen the training of Montessori methodology. We are also developing some didactic tools for teachers. Besides, one of our dreams came true! We have a definite date for the “1st Education for Peace Congress” in Honduras. It will be held on January 2023.
In a country like Honduras where the lack of communication leads to violence normalization, education is the true revolution for progress. There is a need for a change, but it must embrace the person globally and it is very important to show the teachers the importance of their work. That is the intention of the Congress. Several speakers have been confirmed and the main topics to be discussed are education related to environment, as a direct way to favor the rooting and reduce migration, and holistic education, taking into account the different dimensions of the person. Special needs education will be another of the topics highlighted.
As you can see, thanks to the help of friends like you we are really progressing in our goals.
