Summary

The ongoing crisis has left the people of Myanmar in a humanitarian crisis & desperation. Thousands have been forced to leave their home as IDPs. They are at risk of starvation. The new wave of COVID-19, the continuing violence, and the Military SAC is compounding and claiming the lives of many every day. With this project, we will help save lives who are directly affected by the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis by providing food and other basic supplies to the people.

Challenge

Stuck between a battle they did not want, citizens in Myanmar have been struck heaviest by these internal conflicts. In addition, COVID-19, a global pandemic, has arisen which compounded the situation. They are forced to leave their homes to IDP camps where good sanitation is difficult to acquire because of little resources and their close proximity to others. Monsoon season is already worsening the situation. IDPs need now just enough basic and food supplies to survive. They need your help!

Solution

By providing food, medicine, and hygiene products to IDPs at camps, they at least have food to eat to survive. Your donation to this project will directly help provide these basic and essential needs and give IDPs the resources they need to sustain and protect themselves. This funds thus will allow the IDPs and hundreds of children to survive and then restart their new lives in meaningful ways. This project therefore will contribute to the life saving mission, but support the rebuilding work.

Long-Term Impact

We believe that organizations that are deeply rooted in local communities are best positioned to lead long-term plans to aid IDPs. We collaborate with community-based organizations on the ground. Your donation to this fund will directly go to these communities and help build stronger response capacities in communities around Chin State and Myanmar and will also help the community in becoming resilient in sustainable ways, not only in terms of their livelihood, but also their social lives.
