We are attempting to save over 40 million Nigerians from depression, mental health & suicide. Nigeria ranks as Africa's most depressed country. With our care outreach we will be delivering professional counselling that will sustain a good mental health care system for Nigerians who are depressed and need to feel better. The World Bank reports that 22% of Nigerians-that's a staggering 41.8 million citizens-suffer from depression. Globally, depression is the second-leading cause of disability, with slightly more than 4% of the world's population is diagnosed with it. World Health Organisation (W.H.O.) has identified Africa to have countries with the highest rates of depression. Nigeria, ranks 10th in Africa and 67th in the world in terms of suicide rate, there's an urgency that needs to be looked at
Brick by brick this project will provide a safe place for people to visit and feel better. It will consist of an online free writing tool where users can feel free to write anonymously about whatever psychological trauma they may be going through. It will also consist of an online platform for anonymity and an office for physical visit where people can find someone to talk to at anytime. Mainly Professional counsellors that can help you address your burning needs, problems and issues.
This project in the long run will help reduce the number of suicides and depression by 1% annually, that's positively impacting 2 million Nigerians annually.
