This project will help build and operate COVID Health Center in the poverty-stricken area of Western India, which along with entire India is facing an unprecedented second wave of COVID. The Health Center will have 100 beds and essential medical supplies like oxygen tanks, ventilators, CT-scan machine (and much more). It will save thousands of lives and help the underserved section of the society avoid succumbing to the disease.
As the entire world has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of cases and deaths in India have reached unprecedented heights with record number of daily COVID cases and deaths. Hospital beds and medical supplies are in short supply and the health system in India is on the verge of collapse.
SRLC is responding to this crisis by opening a COVID-19 Critical Health Center to aid the underserved populations in Gujarat, India. The Health Center has opened as a 50-bed unit with ICU beds and ventilators. Due to unprecedented demand, we have plans on quickly ramping up to a 100 beds. With your one simple act of kindness, you can help SRLC provide for those who are in most need at this time of severe crisis.
The COVID Health Center will provide care to those who would otherwise succumb to the disease and therefore will save thousands of lives. The center will hel[ the poor communities survive the pandemic. and help them avoid bearing undue brunt of the crisis due to poverty, thereby preserving these communities where adults can provide for their families in this time of crisis and beyond.
