Dear friends,
thank you for helping children in Ukraine affected by the war.
With your support, we have completed the first phase of the renovation of the admission department at the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center in Lviv. This hospital has become a hub for children with cancer and other serious diseases from all offer Ukraine, offering treatment and, if needed, facilitating their evacuation abroad. It serves as a refuge for ill children escaping the consequences of war.
The upgraded department creates a warm and welcoming environment for children battling serious illnesses. Among the enhancements are two isolation wards, a ward for short-term stays of new patients, a well-equipped nurses’ station, storage rooms for essential equipment and supplies, and upgraded bathrooms and a laundry room.
During the opening ceremony, the success of this transformation was assessed by the most important "experts" – the hospitalized children themselves. They even stepped into the shoes of doctors, engaging in a game where they examined adults, provided diagnoses, and offered recommendations. You can see them in action in the pictures.
Once again, thank you for being there for Ukrainian kids.
