SILVIA
Silvia already has five trips to Switzerland in her travel bag.
Ieva, the baby's mother, shares her impressions: "Late Tuesday evening, Silvija returned from her fifth - the shortest trip. At the beginning of the treatment, she had to live in Switzerland for at least a week in order to receive the prescribed procedures, but this time everything is a little different.
We arrived in Lausanne late on Sunday evening and visited Jules eye clinic early the next morning. At the clinic, as always, Silvija was greeted by a cheerful staff. In addition to all that, we met the well-known Gustukas and his parents. Gustuk's mother, Ugne, often had to consult on travel issues, it was fun to chat live, and what was most pleasing and gave even more hope was Gustuk, who traveled independently next to his parents, actively interested in and exploring the environment around him.
Sylvia was examined and treated by the renowned Professor Munier, who is board certified in ophthalmology and medical genetics. In addition, the professor is an associate researcher in the treatment of retinobastoma. Let me remind you that this doctor is on a well-deserved vacation and only occasionally visits the clinic as a consultant, so this is another first for us.
After the examination, freezing therapy was applied to Sylvia's right eye. The left eye didn't have to do anything, so the trip home was waiting for us on the same day, which we were very happy about."
Thank you to everyone whose support allows Silvija to successfully continue her eye cancer treatment in Switzerland.
