"Who would have thought that such a long journey would be taken with so many thoughts, doubts, questions, and what's next," says Diana, the mother of Rusne, who has eye cancer.
The family welcomed the New Year with the seventh trip to Switzerland and the sixth birthday of Rusne's sister Meta
"Meta is Rusne's pillar, helper, listener during all trips", - smiles Diana.
On January 9, Rusne underwent a healthy eye examination and a check of the right eye socket, which is covered by a prosthesis made in Switzerland. This time, the mother remembers, Rusne's awakening after anesthesia was very fast and smooth.
"Before the eye examination with anesthesia, we traveled for an orthoptic eye examination, during which no changes were found in the healthy eye, which means that vision after the operation is still very good. We also had a consultation with an ophthalmologist-prosthetist on the same day, during which it was agreed that a new eye prosthesis would be made in June.
On January 10, we had to go to Chuv Hospital for a head MRI and we hope to get an answer this month. at the beginning of the week. It was nice to meet familiar nurses who asked questions about Rusne's treatment path and wished her a safe journey home.
I am very grateful to everyone who has contributed and continues to contribute to each of Rusne's journeys. Without your help, we would not be where we are now," Diana thanks.
We wish the beautiful family all the best!
