In Muyumbu, Kabale district, there are around 10,000 kids from poor homes. These kids would grow up to be vital citizens, but they currently struggle with malnutrition brought on by shortages in food due to climate and erratic seasonal variations. Children's daily attendance at school and subsequent performance are impacted by this. We plan to build a communal greenhouse that might offer year-round food assistance to more than 600 kids and the neighborhood's disadvantaged families.
there are thousands of school-going children in Uganda who don't have a meal in a day, and this has negatively impacted their learning and memory as nutritional deficiencies early in life can affect the cognitive development of school-aged children.
Candles of HOPE Uganda's Agriculture program will continue to provide vulnerable farmers and families with the skills, tools, and seeds they require to grow life-sustaining crops. Each year, tens of thousands of meals will be harvested for our Children's Feeding program, while also providing money to local farmers.
Children will receive a good education allowing them to realize their full potential which will have a positive impact on society. Education is the key to lifting them and their families out of the vicious cycle of poverty. Importantly, it also ensures that the next generation gets far better parenting and therefore a better life. Education gives people hope that they can improve their lot in life. Help us light the Candle of Hope for these children, their families, and society!
