Supporting learning outside of school through MCO@Home

By Jo Besford | Director

Thank you for your continued support.

For years, learners have been actively using Maths Curriculum Online (MCO) beyond the classroom - choosing to practise, improve, and build their skills in their own time.

We are now strengthening this through MCO@Home - a focused initiative to support parents and carers in encouraging learning at home.

MCO@Home is designed for real contexts where devices are shared and adults may not feel confident with Maths. The message is simple:
you don’t need to teach Maths - just make space for practice.

All resources are shared in three languages to ensure accessibility for families across different communities.

We are seeing strong engagement:

  • Over 800 000 out-of-school MCO sessions recorded this year
  • Consistent learner use during afternoons, weekends, and holidays

This initiative aims to:

  • Empower parents and carers to support learning in simple ways
  • Increase regular Maths practice at home
  • Strengthen confidence and steady progress in learner achievement

With your support, we are not only reaching learners, we are enabling families to be part of the learning journey.

Thank you for making this possible.

Your support is helping learners continue practising Maths beyond the classroom, and enabling parents and carers to be part of that journey.

Together, we are creating more opportunities for every child to improve, achieve, and move forward with confidence in Maths.
