Dear donors,
We want to help children in Nigerian slums play football by providing them with equipment, safe spaces, and organized matches. No donations have been received yet, but we thank prospective donors for considering this project. Your interest means a lot, as many children in these areas lack both recreational outlets and structured activities that can keep them safe and motivated.
Nigeria has one of the youngest populations in the world, with nearly half of its people under the age of 18. Yet millions of these children grow up in slums where opportunities for play and healthy growth are scarce. Families struggle with poverty, schools are overcrowded, and safe play spaces are almost non-existent. Many children turn to street survival, and some face the risk of drug exposure, early labor, or violence. Football remains one of the few shared passions that can inspire children, but without resources, many never get the chance to play in an organized way.
Our plan is to provide football kits, shoes, balls, and access to safe community fields. Local coaches will organize regular training sessions and matches to build teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Friendly competitions between slum communities will be arranged, giving children a sense of pride and belonging. Parents and community leaders will also be involved to create support around the children’s participation.
Although no donations have been received yet, the structure for the program is ready. Every contribution will go into equipment, coaching stipends, field rental, and safe transport. We thank prospective donors once again for considering this project. With your help, children in slums will find not only joy in football but also a healthier, more hopeful path for their future.
Thank you
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic K.
