Age Action, Ireland's leading advocacy organisation for older people and ageing, is thrilled to announce the official opening of its new office at 3 St. Francis Street, Galway. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Lord Mayor Cllr. Peter Keane in October 2024 marked a significant milestone for Age Action.
The opening event was a resounding success, with attendees from local businesses, volunteers, staff, and Galway residents who rely on Age Action’s services coming together to celebrate this new chapter. The new Galway Hub, situated in the heart of the city, will serve as a central hub for a range of programmes aimed at empowering older people.
Age Action's Galway Hub is a single point of contact where older people can access information and referral for health and social services; get One-to-One support receive Digital Skills training; link with other agencies through referral and engage with their peers.
