Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development working in partnership with Tech for Change a UK nonprofit organization has continued to provide virtual and in person computer lesson to orphans and vulnerable children at Fortune School of Excellence in Solwezi District of Zambia. From January to date, 500 children have benefited from the program.
Fortune School of Excellence owned by Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development is operating in Humphrey Mulemba area which is a rural part of Solwezi with only about 6 houses connected to the national grid. Children have no access to computers and Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development had established a computer lab where children come an learn computer lessons and virtual mentorship.
In today's world computer knowledge is very important and part of the daily work. In most companies and organizations their work is computerlized, therefore children with no access to computers their education is not complete if they don't understand the basic knowledge in computer skills.
It is on this basis that we continue to provide computer lessons to children who have no access to computers and other gadgets with free access to internet and computer lessons.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to all the donors who have continued to support our educational program in Zambia.
