A disastrous socio-political crisis in 2018 has resulted in a 40% shortage in micro-loan funding for the poorest segment in Nicaragua. Many micro-entrepreneurs and their children are now at significant financial risk. Micro-loans will help enterprising women to re-start and build their businesses and make more money. More money will help them obtain better health care and nutrition, make small home improvements and continue to grow their businesses.
The problem is a 40% shortage of loan funds available for the poorest micro-entrepreneurs. This has been caused by a socio-political crisis in 2018. It can be met by raising funds exclusively for micro-loans to poor women micro-entrepreneurs in Nicaragua. Those who have lost the most basic financial opportunity to support themselves and their family members will have a better chance of borrowing funds to start, re-build or expand their small businesses.
Money. We need your help to reduce the micro-loan shortage and to assist as many low-income entrepreneurs as possible to re-build and grow their businesses. All funds donated will be used to make small loans primarily to women micro-entrepreneurs in the lowest loan micro-finance segment. All loan repayments will be used over and over again to make more loans, helping additional women entrepreneurs in Nicaragua become self- sufficient. Your donation will impact not only one person but many.
Your donations will provide low-income women access to capital they will not otherwise have. They will provide these women with opportunities to do more than just survive. They will be able to invest in inventory, equipment, seeds for crops animals, all of which will help them make more money. When a loan is repaid, the funds received will be re-lent to others. In 5 years, a donation of $100 can generate 10 loans in a 5-year period. Thus, in 5 years 2,500 women will benefit from this Project.
