Dear Supporter,
It’s been almost 2 years since the war in Ukraine started. Throughout this time we have been supporting people in Ukraine with food supplies, free treatments, cloths, medicines, accommodation support, legal advice, working on programmes to support mental health and education but also give the tools to people to work, learn and create the best future for themselves.
Your donations enabled us to continue running these programmes but gave us the opportunity to be involved in other projects. Since the beginning of the conflict, we have extended War Support to several groups, primarily volunteers, who have dedicated their time, care, and love to countless individuals displaced by the war or unable to leave due to age or disability.
This has included: funding emergency refugee shelters; backing a group of volunteers on the eastern frontline distributing essential food and medical supplies; supporting a mother & baby unit in western Ukraine that became a sanctuary for many escaping from the east; offering aid to those impacted by the Kherson dam flooding; supplying a truckload of hospital equipment to a children's hospital in Kyiv; financing the renovation of two classrooms in a heavily damaged school in the Bucha region; and implementing a play therapy training program for our partners and mothers to assist children dealing with war trauma. We anticipate providing even more assistance in the coming months and years.
This summer, our amazing partners created a sanctuary for the children, offering them time, space, and engaging activities. Amidst their daily fears and worries, they were able to craft beautiful memories. The aftermath of conflict has left countless kids anxious and uncertain about the future. But during our summer camps and activities organized by our partners, we've witnessed these young souls finding their voices again. They've laughed, cheered for their friends, and surprisingly discovered a surge of self-confidence. It's been a journey filled with joy and victory for everyone. Leaving the camp, these children stand tall, basking in the glory of their achievements.
Thank you for making our work possible.
With gratitude
