Even before the latest wave of war, our work in Ukraine was critical. For years, conflict quietly affected parts of the country — but now the devastation is widespread and heartbreaking.

Children have lost homes, villages, schools, and, in many cases, their families. Some are now living in orphanages. Others face a daily life marked by air raid sirens, fear, and uncertainty.

These young lives were already impacted by COVID-19, having missed out on vital years of education. Now, many schools remain closed — either damaged or lacking bomb shelters — and even online learning is out of reach for families without electricity or devices.

Yet even in the darkest days, your support is helping us bring light — restoring a sense of hope, stability, and belonging for children who need it most.

Thanks to your generosity and the tireless efforts of our local partners, we’re able to provide:

• Free devices and organized lessons to ensure education continues

• A dedicated, on-site teacher at our partner centre, Children’s Hearts — delivering essential lessons in a warm, safe environment

• Nutritious food and trauma care, including art therapy to help children process their experiences

• Warm clothing and heating fuel to help families through freezing winters

• Medical support and supplies, ensuring basic health needs are met

At Children’s Hearts, our trusted local partner, the centre has become a second home — a place of safety, warmth, and learning. Their on-site teacher has become a lifeline, helping children regain a sense of normalcy and hope through continued education.

Rebuilding a nation will take years. But right now, we are rebuilding hope — one child at a time.
