Many poorer Afghan families continue to suffer from economic hardship and poor health due to natural disasters and political and social upheaval. Desperate families leave their homes and come to the cities to look for work and help. Many come to AIL centers, offices and clinics seeking help. We need funds to purchase food and provide clothing, shelter supplies, school supplies, medicines and hygiene items.
Many Afghans suffer from economic hardship and poor health. Many families leave their homes to seek work and help in the cities. AIL facilities help as many people as they can but there is always a big demand for food, medicine, clothing, blankets and hygiene items.
Food aid such as oil, beans, rice and tomato paste will be provided to poor or displaced families. AIL staff can provide cooked meals as well. Shelter supplies, blankets and hygiene essentials and medicine will be dispensed where possible.
Displaced families arrive in the cities with only what they can carry. They seek work and help and need support to get on their feet. We help to stabilize their situation provide food and shelter supplies and provide for medical needs. Poor families struggle in times of increased stress such as winter weather, natural disaster or when there is no work. A bit of help at these times makes all the difference to these families.
