Summary

The U.S. accepts a limited number of refugees each year, setting record-low admission caps these past few years. Help the IRC deliver critical assistance to families in the U.S. who have fled war or persecution, including education, livelihood training, youth programs, and citizenship assistance to refugees and other vulnerable immigrant populations.

Challenge

More families have been uprooted by conflict and disaster in the last few years than ever before on record. Although the Biden Administration removed discriminatory Trump-era admissions categories, the record-low admissions goal is still in place and keeping refugee families apart. This slams the door on the world's most vulnerable people in their time of greatest need.

Solution

Your support will help the IRC protect and rebuild the lives of resettled refugees as well as asylees, survivors of trafficking or torture, and other vulnerable immigrant populations across the United States and around the world. Your gift will allow the IRC to continue to provide essential services to those in need including housing, health care, education, employment, and legal assistance to give newcomers a solid foundation to enrich the fabric of their new communities.

Long-Term Impact

The United States has long been a beacon of hope for families who have fled war or persecution. By supporting the IRC's call for refugee support, you signal your voice for freedom and stand up to fear. The IRC is deeply grateful for your compassion and support for all those we serve. Your gift will be used when and where it's most needed.
