Help school students read great books and think

End-year results in a nutshell

1. Thanks to the generous support of entities and private individuals, we enrolled 103 schools, 165 classes, and 3446 school students who participate directly in Zartnir reading clubs.

2. Zartnir is present in all of the regions across Armenia:

• Lori and Kotayq: 18 schools in each region
• Yerevan: 13 schools
• Ararat and Armavir: 11 schools in each region
• Shirak: 9 schools
• Gegharkuniq and Syunik: 6 schools in each region
• Tavush: 5 schools
• Vayots Dzor and Aragatsotn: 3 schools in each region

3. The total number of direct and non-direct beneficiaries surpassed 13,500 people as apart from school students, the books are read and discussed among their families and friends.

4. During this educational year, we were supported by ArLeAM, Bridge to Armenia, Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC), employees of Google and Adobe, and private individuals who donated via Patreon, reArmenia, GlobalGiving, Benevity fundraising channels:

• Gifts that we received from ArLeAM and Bridge to Armenia allowed us to engage 30 schools each
• Gift from ZCMC, that we received at the end of this educational year, will allow us to engage more schools in Syunik region—the region in which ZCMC operates its mines.
• Gift from reArmenia allows us to purchase 150 books that will be delivered to the schools during the new educational year. 
• Thanks to the private individuals who support us via Patreon, GlobalGiving, and Benevity, we supported our operations and engaged more than 7 schools. 

5. The engagement cost of one school equals $330 and of one school student—less than $10.

6. Within the year, we continuously received fascinating feedback from school administration teachers, students, and parents. Thanks to Zartnir classes, they enhanced their academic score, literacy, and critical thinking, and fell in love with reading and discussions they had during the Zartnir classes. We, beneficiaries of the program, and the Zartnir team would love to thank each one of you for your continuous generous support thanks to which we enhance education in Armenia.
