Now that NPO Mirai no Mori’s 2017 Summer Camps have safely concluded, we would like to thank our supporter for their warm and generous support.
Your significant donation allowed us to invite marginalised youth from children’s welfare institutions from Kanto and Tohoku area to summer camp. We have invited 84 campers, 7 LITs (Leader in Training - high school students), 21 care workers and 19 Mirai no Mori camp staff in this summer.
We spent five days playing and making new friends in beautiful natural settings, away from the stress of daily life. At the same time, they learned English, gained self-confidence and self-esteem, and were mentored by caring camp staff from Japan and around the world.
It was a very wet season, but each camper found the fun element in the rain: jumping in the water puddle, playing soccer in the mud with their friends, finding lots of frogs and snails.

As we work to share outdoor fun and inspiration with an increasing number of deserving children, we hope that you will remain our partner in this adventure.
For now, allow us say thank you again for helping to create a wonderful and meaningful summer adventure for the youth we serve.
