Search and Care's is committed to helping our older neighbors age at home for as long as is safely feasible - particularly as the COVID-19 public health crisis continues to unfold. Support could help ensure seniors receive proper hygiene/sanitation supplies to stay safe (e.g., masks), gain access to online groups to decrease isolation/loneliness, are provided with much-need food and groceries, obtain emergency funds during financial duress, and much more.
As the COVID-19 public health crisis continues to unfold, older people are not only at greater risk of medical complications if they contract the virus, but are facing increased isolation and loneliness as they remain at home to protect themselves.
This project could help ensure our older neighbors are healthier, and connected to friends, family, and peers to decrease their sense of loneliness and isolation.
The long-term impact would be older people aging safely at home longer - with quality of life and peace of mind.
