Weekend Camp continues to operate at the Liebenthal Farm site during the warm season. Every weekend, children and teenagers visit the site in groups of 10-15 people.
The fun and developmental activities at the camp have a positive impact on their physical, mental and social well-being. Here children learn to socialize, understand themselves, trust each other, and get the support they so desperately need in times of war.
The farm is a place where children can feel safe and relaxed, which is especially important for those facing instability and stress in their families. Here they are surrounded by caring adults who provide safety and emotional support, creating an atmosphere of trust and acceptance. Some of the children attend camp more than once, which contributes to the sustainability of the results.
Children are free to discuss their worries and fears in a supportive environment, which helps them better cope with trauma and stress. With the help of a psychologist, children's mood, self-esteem and new coping strategies improve.
They participate in cooperative games and activities that build their social skills and strengthen their sense of belonging. These interactions help children understand themselves, learn cooperation, respect for others and self-confidence.
We aim to develop children's understanding of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living. Respect nature, understand the importance of ecosystems and develop ecological awareness. Interacting with nature, observing plant growth and development evokes a sense of responsibility in children. Moreover, being in nature helps to reduce stress and improve overall emotional well-being, which is especially important in times of instability and stress.
Working together to achieve common goals strengthens communication and cooperation skills. It develops their social competence and relationship building skills. Children gain valuable knowledge about agriculture, business, botany, ecology and sustainable development, which makes learning more interesting and meaningful.
In addition, Liebenthal runs a Development Center for young children living in the village all week long. This is the only opportunity here to organize local families' access to such services, as there are no other kindergartens in the village.
We hope for a better future for our country. And we are sure that these children will become its active builders.
