In 2025, despite the ongoing uncertainties and challenges in Ukraine, the project became a vital safe haven for vulnerable children and youth in the Odesa region. Over the past year, the Libental eco-farm has transformed into a place of strength, offering a holistic environment for psychological recovery, skill-building, and allowing young people to simply be kids again.
Our 2025 Impact in Numbers: Thanks to our dedicated team and the supportive environment of the village, we successfully exceeded our initial goals across multiple initiatives:
173 children found relief and significantly improved their emotional well-being during our regular weekend visits to Libental.
92 children developed vital social and emotional regulation skills at our summer camps, which combined physical activities, art therapy, and play-based learning.
142 children and youth received targeted psychosocial support through individual and group counseling in a trusted, safe space.
71 younger children (aged 8-13) engaged in interactive financial literacy training right at the eco-farm, showing strong interest and high attendance.
Stories of Transformation: The true impact of the project is best seen in the children themselves.
Take Serhiy, a 13-year-old internally displaced teen. When he first arrived at our short-term program, the heavy memories of the war had left him closed off, demotivated, and distrustful. However, the safe, unobtrusive environment at Libental became a catalyst for change. During the camp, Serhiy found the courage to open up to our psychologists about his trauma for the very first time. His parents shared that he returned home a "different child"—calm, communicative, and smiling for the first time in a long while.
Then there is 13-year-old Milana, who came to us struggling with high anxiety, insomnia, and the effects of school bullying. Regular weekends at Libental became her sanctuary. With the help of our team, Milana processed her experiences, strengthened her personal boundaries, and discovered her own strengths. Today, her psychosomatic symptoms are gone, she sleeps well, actively participates in sports, and is surrounded by new friends in a supportive community.
Looking Forward: The demand for these educational and psychosocial services remains consistently high. Libental has proven that a quality, safe environment coupled with professional support creates immediate, life-changing relief for young people experiencing long-term stress.
We are deeply grateful for the continued support that makes these transformations possible. Together, we are planting the seeds of recovery for Ukraine’s future.
