Happy New Summer, Friends!
We’ve been eagerly awaiting this season - and preparing for it with great care. Now, we’re proud to introduce a beautiful new location that’s ready to welcome its first visitors!
Nestled in a peaceful village near the picturesque Hadzhibey estuary, this charming big house has been fully reconstructed and renovated by our team. It has 6 bedrooms, training room, dining room and terraces. We’ve equipped the yard, garden, gazebo and even a private beach with a pier. The first vegetables and strawberries are already growing! All that’s left is to bring in the furniture - and then, everything will be ready for the arrival of first groups of Ukrainian children on summer vacation.
Just like in Liebenthal, this location will host recreational camp sessions for children from vulnerable groups, as well as trainings run by the Way Home Foundation. But unlike Liebenthal, this site has a special bonus - water! There’s nothing like swimming, playing by the shore, or casting a fishing line into the estuary.
Our free camps are in high demand, as many families in Odesa can no longer afford any vacation due to the economic situation. Ukrainian children have endured so much during last three years - constant worry, air raids that destroy homes and schools, ongoing stress and troubles, and deep uncertainty. We want to help them smile again.
Our camps offer more than just rest - they provide connection, emotional relief, and vital life skills. Children leave with new friendships, confidence, and memories that bring hope.
We chose this location specifically because it is far from potential military targets. It is a place of calm and safety. And very soon, it will be filled with the joyful voices of children once again.
