A Day of Peace, Culture, and Inspiration at Auroville
On 10th August 2025, the girls of Janani Home for Girls enjoyed a truly memorable and enriching day in Auroville, a unique international township dedicated to human unity.
The visit began with a walk to the iconic Matrimandir, whose golden sphere shimmered under the morning sun. The girls stood in awe, taking in the beauty and symbolism of this architectural wonder — a place designed for quiet reflection and inner peace. They then explored Auroville’s lush green surroundings, serene gardens, and cultural spaces, each offering a glimpse into the township’s vision of harmony among people and with nature.
Throughout the day, the girls interacted with members of the Auroville community, learning about its values, sustainable practices, and commitment to fostering unity across cultures. The experience broadened their horizons, inspired new ideas, and provided moments of joy, reflection, and connection.
This trip was more than just an outing — it was an opportunity for the girls to witness a living example of peace, diversity, and respect for the environment. We are grateful to our supporters whose generosity makes such transformative experiences possible for the children of Janani Home for Girls.
