Tour Rewind – A Day to Remember!
We are truly grateful for the wonderful places we explored, the amazing people we spent the day with, and the countless memories we created together. On 28th June 2025, the children of Janani Home for Girls, accompanied by our dedicated staff members, embarked on a much-awaited excursion to the historic Gingee Fort—often called the "Troy of the East."
From the moment we began our journey, excitement filled the air. The children chatted eagerly, their eyes lighting up in anticipation of the adventure ahead. As we approached the majestic fort, its towering stone walls and ancient watchtowers stood proudly, whispering stories of bravery, heritage, and centuries past.
We spent the day exploring its many treasures—climbing the winding stone steps, walking through time-worn gateways, and admiring the breathtaking panoramic views from the top. The lush greenery around the fort contrasted beautifully with the rugged stone structures, offering the perfect backdrop for photos, laughter, and shared moments of wonder.
The children, full of curiosity, listened intently as they learned about the fort’s rich history, imagining the lives of those who once walked these very grounds. Some tested their courage on the steeper climbs, while others enjoyed the shaded spots, sharing snacks and stories with friends. The staff members joined in wholeheartedly, encouraging the children, capturing memories on camera, and ensuring everyone felt included and cared for.
More than just a sightseeing trip, the day became a heartfelt experience of togetherness. It was about strengthening bonds, fostering trust, and showing the children the joy of discovery beyond the walls of their daily lives. Every smile, every laugh, and every sparkle of wonder in their eyes made this trip a celebration of life, learning, and friendship.
As the sun set and we began our return journey, tired but happy, we carried with us the warmth of the day—the joy of shared experiences and the promise of many more adventures to come.
Here’s to more days like this, where joy and discovery go hand in hand, and every moment becomes a cherished memory!
