Empowering Women, One Step at a Time
At Prime Trust, we are committed to creating opportunities for women to learn, grow, and lead healthier lives. On February 15, we took another meaningful step in this direction by organizing an impactful awareness session for our Self-Help Group (SHG) members. This session was expertly led by Akshaya, who shared valuable insights on critical women’s health issues, helping participants understand the importance of preventive care, early detection, and healthy lifestyle choices.
A Session That Inspired Change
Women often juggle multiple responsibilities, from caring for their families to managing household and financial responsibilities. However, their own health and well-being frequently take a backseat. This session aimed to shift that perspective by encouraging women to prioritize their health.
Through engaging discussions and real-life case studies, Akshaya emphasized the significance of:
Early detection of common health issues and seeking timely medical advice.
Maintaining a balanced diet to ensure overall wellness.
The role of mental health in leading a fulfilling life.
Accessing healthcare services and knowing their rights as women.
The session was interactive and enlightening, allowing participants to ask questions, share personal experiences, and gain practical knowledge that could positively impact their lives and their families.
A Holistic Approach: Yoga for Mind & Body
To complement the awareness session, the event also featured a refreshing and relaxing yoga session. Participants learned simple yet highly effective breathing exercises, stretching techniques, and meditation practices that they can incorporate into their daily routines.
Why Yoga?
Yoga is not just a physical exercise—it is a powerful tool for mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being. The yoga session focused on:
Stress reduction – Helping women manage anxiety and daily challenges.
Flexibility & strength – Enhancing mobility and reducing body pain.
Inner peace & focus – Cultivating mindfulness for a more positive mindset.
For many participants, this was their first introduction to yoga, and they were thrilled to learn how these simple practices could bring a transformative change in their daily lives.
