Empowering Young Minds: Support from JAGSOM Students for Our After-School Program
We are delighted to share a meaningful chapter of collaboration and learning through the recent social immersion program conducted by the students of JAGSOM (Jagdish Sheth School of Management), Bangalore. Over a period of 10 days, these passionate young individuals extended their wholehearted support to our after-school program, bringing energy, creativity, and compassion into the lives of the children we serve.
Our after-school program is designed to support children from underprivileged backgrounds by providing academic assistance, life skills education, and a safe, nurturing environment. Many of these children face challenges such as lack of parental support in education, limited access to learning resources, and exposure to vulnerable social conditions. It is within this context that the involvement of the JAGSOM students created a significant and lasting impact.
During their immersion, the students actively engaged with the children through a variety of structured and interactive sessions. They provided academic support in subjects such as Mathematics, English, and Science, helping to strengthen the children’s foundational understanding. Beyond academics, they introduced creative learning methods including storytelling, group discussions, games, and activity-based learning, making education more enjoyable and relatable.
One of the most valuable contributions was the focus on life skills development. The students conducted sessions on communication, teamwork, hygiene, and basic financial literacy. These sessions not only enhanced the children’s confidence but also encouraged them to think beyond their immediate circumstances and aspire for a better future.
The presence of the JAGSOM students also fostered a sense of belonging and motivation among the children. Their enthusiasm and genuine interest helped build strong bonds, creating a positive learning atmosphere where children felt seen, heard, and valued. For many of the children, this interaction was both inspiring and transformative.
At the same time, the immersion program proved to be an enriching experience for the students as well. It provided them with firsthand exposure to grassroots realities, deepening their understanding of social issues and strengthening their sense of empathy and social responsibility.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students and faculty of JAGSOM, Bangalore, for their commitment and support. Partnerships like these play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and reach of our programs.
Your continued support can help us sustain and expand such initiatives, ensuring that more children receive the guidance, care, and opportunities they deserve. Together, we can create a brighter future—one child at a time.
