Yes indeed, we have a roof! Thanks to each of you who have helped out financially we are seeing the walls go up and the roof go on! These are exciting times for sure.
Those of you who have ever done a building project of some sort know how quickly the funds dwindle. Because of this we are only keeping on two part time local staff to continue with the work to put into place all the materials that have already been purchased. Of course Lawpa is still the amazing GC and doing a great job at it.
It's been nine months since we did our first funraiser to help add to the lump sum that had already been donated. A lot has been accomplished in this time.
After the bricks are put into place to finish constructing some of the walls we will be in need of more funds to finish up the rest of the walls, put windows and doors in and start on the tile floors.
We know Covid has made for some hard economic times all around the globe with higher construction prices and higher costs of many things. So we thank you for your commitment to helping see this project through to the finish. This building will become the center for all kinds of educational opportunities and programs for the students and the surrounding community.
