Military family violence can be very complicated. Victims are afraid to report the abuse to the domestic violence advocates on military bases because they are afraid of having their confidentiality compromised.
Because of your generosity, we are able to offer them free, confidential help and help them navigate their situation without fear of their husband or their husband's commanding officer finding out.
Here is a quote from one victim you helped: "I didn't know what to do. Then I saw one of your posters hanging on a wall at base. I felt my prayers had been answered. It has been a long complicated process to get away from the abuse but I had you to help me. I can't possibly express in words how thankful I am... "
