Dear WOW Supporters and Donors,
We continue to invite you to partner with us in our important initiative to help vulnerable street children in Zambia find safe homes and access education. Recently, we met two children who are currently out of school and who would be living on the streets if it were not for the kindness of Mama Maggie. Her dedication to supporting vulnerable children has made a meaningful difference in their lives, providing them with shelter, meals, and a safe place to stay when they have nowhere else to turn.
Although Mama Maggie has helped many children over the years, her resources are limited, and she cannot afford to cover their school fees and educational needs. As a result, some of the children under her care remain at home instead of attending school. WOW Zambia hopes to change this situation by establishing a shelter that can accommodate at least 50 children, providing them with a safe environment, regular meals, and the opportunity to attend school and build a brighter future.
Many of these children are overlooked because they do not have anyone to help them access formal care or support services. Some have parents who are struggling with extreme poverty and cannot adequately provide for them, while others have been rejected by parents, stepparents, or left without a stable home. These children often fall through the gaps in society, with nowhere to turn for assistance. An estimated 13,500 children in Zambia need support, highlighting the urgent need for safe shelter, education, and compassionate care.
WOW Zambia is committed to reaching as many of these vulnerable children as possible, working alongside dedicated individuals like Mama Maggie who are already making a difference in their communities. With your generosity and partnership, we can help build a safe shelter, keep children off the streets, and give them access to education and a more hopeful future. Thank you for standing with us in this important mission. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress and the lives we can change together.
