Summary

In parts of Jos and Benue, violent attacks have left many Christian families displaced, injured, and traumatized. This project by Equitable Medicaid and Clinical Research will provide food, medical care, trauma counseling, and clothing for survivors living in temporary camps. With your support, we can bring comfort to widows, orphans, and families who have lost everything, helping them rebuild hope, restore dignity, and recover from the pain of violence.

Challenge

Communal and targeted attacks in Jos and Benue have destroyed homes, farmlands, and places of worship. Many survivors, mostly women and children, now live in makeshift shelters without food, medical help, or emotional support. Most lost family members and livelihoods. With limited aid reaching affected areas, these survivors face hunger, trauma, and disease, struggling daily to survive and find a sense of safety again.

Solution

This project will provide emergency relief including food packs, medical treatment, clothing, and trauma counseling to survivors in Jos and Benue camps. Volunteer doctors and counselors will visit regularly, while local partners help identify and support the most affected families. By addressing immediate needs and offering psychosocial care, the project will help survivors regain strength and begin rebuilding their lives.

Long-Term Impact

Providing essential care and counseling will help survivors recover physically and emotionally. With steady support, families will regain stability and hope for the future. The project will strengthen community resilience, reduce trauma, and prepare survivors for long-term recovery and reintegration. Over time, restored health, food access, and emotional healing will rebuild lives and promote peace in affected communities across Jos and Benue.
