Quarterly Project Update - Al-Maland Farmers Recovery Project

By Faiz Alali | Projects Leader

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for standing with the farming families of Al-Maland village in Idlib, Syria. While this project has not yet reached the funding level required for full implementation, your early support remains deeply meaningful and essential.

Current Status

To date, the project has received limited contributions, which are not yet sufficient to begin the large-scale distribution of seedlings and agricultural inputs planned for this initiative. Given the scale of damage caused by the June 2025 wildfire, we are committed to implementing the project responsibly and effectively once adequate resources are secured.

Ongoing Preparations

Despite the funding gap, our team has continued preparatory work to ensure readiness once the project can move forward, including:

  • Maintaining communication with affected farmers and local community leaders

  • Updating beneficiary lists and reassessing the most urgent needs

  • Coordinating with agricultural specialists to refine the rehabilitation and fire-prevention training plans

These steps allow us to act quickly and efficiently as soon as sufficient funding becomes available.

Why Your Support Still Matters

Each contribution—no matter the size—brings this project closer to reality. Replanting orchards is not just about trees; it is about restoring livelihoods, food security, and dignity for families who depend entirely on their land to survive.

Looking Ahead

We remain fully committed to this project and continue to seek the necessary funding to launch implementation. With your continued support and by sharing this project with others, we can help farmers in Al-Maland rebuild what was lost and regain hope after this devastating disaster.

Thank you for your trust, compassion, and belief in long-term recovery.

With gratitude,
