Dear Supporters,
In the third week of September, our Advanced Tailoring and Garment Design training program successfully concluded in Darayya, Rural Damascus, empowering women-led households to transform their skills into sources of sustainable income.
Over several weeks of intensive training, the participants mastered key techniques in sewing, fabric cutting, pattern drawing, and garment design. Each woman developed a personalized project aligned with her aspirations—ranging from nursing uniforms and abayas to school outfits and children’s clothing.
Upon completing the program, every participant received a startup kit containing a home sewing machine, essential tools, and a selection of fabrics to kick-start her own small business.
Looking ahead, these women will showcase their creations in an upcoming bazaar and exhibition in October in Darayya. The event will serve as a bridge connecting them with local buyers and suppliers, strengthening their entrepreneurial confidence and community engagement.
This initiative is not just about tailoring—it’s about empowering women to rebuild their lives, support their families, and contribute to their community’s recovery in one of Syria’s most affected areas.
Thank you for making this transformation possible through your continued support on GlobalGiving.
Together, we stitch hope into every thread.
