Dear supporter,
Between October 23–25, 2025, a vibrant bazaar and exhibition took place in Darayya, Rural Damascus, marking a powerful milestone for women who recently completed SEMA’s economic empowerment trainings in mushroom cultivation, cleaning product manufacturing, and candle making.
For many of these women — widows and spouses of missing persons — this was more than an event.
It was their first chance to step forward, showcase their work, and connect directly with their community and local businesses.
The bazaar drew remarkable attention from the local market. Several participants received offers to start small production lines for cleaning products and candles, while others were invited to explore opportunities in clothing design. The mushroom products received particular praise, revealing a strong local interest that could open doors for sustainable income in the future.
This initiative was not only about selling products — it was about restoring dignity, confidence, and connection.
By linking these women to real market opportunities, SEMA helped turn training into tangible livelihood — a lasting step toward self-reliance and economic independence.
Your generosity made this possible.
Because of your support, women in Darayya are not only learning — they’re leading, creating, and rebuilding their futures with strength and hope.
With heartfelt gratitude,
