Dear Supporters,
Before sharing Baraa’s story, we want to pause and say thank you.
Not just for donating — but for believing in people when life has given them every reason to give up.
Because of you, a young woman who once carried the weight of an entire family on her shoulders is now carrying something far more powerful: hope for the future.
Baraa was only 24 when she became the sole provider for her household. With her father forcibly disappeared into Assad’s prisons, she stepped into a role no young woman should ever be forced to play — raising her younger siblings and putting food on the table. Her studies in computer engineering were cut short after just one year, not for lack of ability, but because survival came first.
Then, your support opened a door.
Through a mobile and computer repair training course supported by Freedom Jasmine, Baraa reconnected with the skills she had once been forced to abandon. What followed was not just learning — it was transformation.
Baraa didn’t wait for opportunity. She created it.
By offering mobile and computer repair services for women in her community, she addressed a real and often overlooked need — privacy, safety, and trust. Women began coming to her home, choosing her not only for her technical skill, but because she represented dignity in a space where many felt vulnerable.
The impact was immediate.
Her income stabilized.
Her family gained security.
And the dream she had buried years earlier came back to life.
Today, Baraa has returned to university. Not as someone trying to catch up — but as a determined young woman who knows exactly what she is capable of achieving.
This is what your generosity does.
It doesn’t just provide training.
It restores confidence.
It turns hardship into leadership.
And it creates role models for an entire generation.
Because of you, Baraa is no longer just surviving — she is thriving, and lighting the way for others to follow.
Thank you for standing with women who refuse to surrender their futures — and for proving that when women are given the right tools, they change everything.
With gratitude,
Freedom Jasmine Team
