Dear Supporter,
With your continued support, we are able to turn complex legal knowledge into practical tools that directly support families navigating uncertainty and loss.
On April 6th, the same group of 18 women returned for a session that shifted the focus from legal theory to real-life application. The discussion centered on the concrete legal steps available to families of missing persons, helping women better understand what actions they can take.
Participants learned about key procedures, including filing a police report supported by witnesses, appointing a legal guardian for a missing family member, and understanding how courts determine a date of death in exceptional wartime circumstances.
The session also provided practical guidance on restoring essential civil documentation. Women were supported in understanding how to renew identity cards, register children born during displacement, and validate marriages conducted outside official systems. Each process was explained step by step, with clear information on where to go and what documents are required.
To ensure the support continues beyond the session, it concluded with a survey capturing participants’ legal knowledge gaps and unmet needs, helping shape future interventions.
Thank you for making this possible. Your support helps families move from confusion to clarity, giving them the tools they need to protect their rights and rebuild their lives with confidence and dignity.
