Dear Supporter,
Because of your generous support, the same group of 22 women returned on May 4th for their second mental health and psychosocial support session in Daraya.
This session focused on self-care — not as a luxury, but as a basic human need, especially for women who have carried the weight of displacement, return, family responsibilities, and uncertainty for so long.
The movement activities woven into the session helped shift the energy in the room. The group became more open, lively, and engaged. Women asked difficult questions, challenged ideas, and spoke honestly about what self-care really looks like in their daily lives — and what often makes it feel impossible.
Together, they explored the idea that their needs are not a burden. They reflected on the importance of recognizing their own limits, caring for their emotional well-being, and giving themselves permission to seek support.
The session closed with a discussion on personal strengths. For several women, this was the message they said they needed to hear: that they still carry strength within them, even after everything they have endured.
Your contribution helped create this space.
You are helping women feel seen, heard, and reminded that their well-being matters. Thank you for making this work possible and for standing beside women as they rebuild their sense of strength, dignity, and hope.
With sincere gratitude,
