Dear Valued Supporter,
Thanks to your generous support, 25 women in Daraya took part in an important awareness session focused on a subject many had never encountered before: their right to reparations.
During the session, participants learned what reparations mean, the different forms they can take, and how the State may carry responsibility for harm caused by its agents—or by failing to protect people from harm.
One of the most important messages was simple but powerful:
A survivor’s right to reparations does not disappear simply because the perpetrator has not been identified, tried, or convicted.
For several women, this information changed the way they understood their own experiences and the rights available to them.
Following the session, individual consultations were also offered to women who wished to discuss their situations privately and seek further guidance.
Your contributions are helping women access knowledge, understand their rights, and take meaningful steps toward justice and dignity.
Thank you for standing with them. Your continued support makes this work possible—and helps ensure that women who have already endured so much are not left without information, guidance, or a voice.
With gratitude,
