This Project will provide a Sustainable Livelihood to 1000 marginalized orphanage children of age 1-17 and 18-22 age group at three orphanage center through establishing dairy and poultry keeping which will enable orphanage center ensure children access three meals per day as a a strategy to addressing the problem of the food security, Also on other hands address the problem of malnutrition and other having the source of income generating through selling the excess milk, eggs and meat.
According to the NBS report 2018, Rukwa region are the region leading for Malnutrition by 47.9% to the children, and there increase number of street children by 60% according to Rukwa region office report of 2019. Rukwa region having the total number of 3 orphanage center of total 1000 orphanage .Although the centers working hard to accommodate the children in foods and clothes but they face problem of fund and means of fulfilling the need of orphanage center.
This project will establish poultry and dairy rearing to the orphanage center in order to provide the supplement nutrition to orphanage children through milk,eggs and Meat from chicken. Also through selling excess product particularly milk and eggs which will facilitate the availability of money which will help orphanage center to fulfill their children needs like accessing the education needs like books, uniform and even school bus fare as well running others activities in orphanage.
Improvement of nutrition rate to the 3 orphanage center by 90 % because of availability of eggs,meat and milk which are higher proficient and rich in nutrition and, also the availability of manure which will be help to establish horticulture in the orphanage center which are essential in nutrition as at the end project will help the center to fulfill the education needs and other needs of 1000 orphanage children and the life of orphanage children will be prosperous
