As a result of last years earthquake the Nava Juarez family lost their home in Chalmita Mexico, a community we are impacting. The family partially rebuilt the house and put wooden walls, however, it is still not safe to live. The family consists in the couple, Leticia and Bernardo, who have two children, a 13 year old girl named Tania and Bernabe who has just turned 8. Leticia and Bernardo dream of being able to give their children a decent and safe home.
After the September 2017 earthquake, around 250,000 people lost their homes and were left with nothing in Mexico. People living in the community of Chalmita dont have the money or resources to rebuild their house or community. This project will help the Nava Juarez family live in different conditions.
The new house will make the Nava Juarez family live in a safe place and in human conditions. The construction materials of the houses are resistant to natural disasters, water filtrations and adapt to different climates.
It will give the two children new living standards which they will take with them when they have families of their own. Creating a more safe environment for future generations. This house will last at least four generations so it will provide the family with a heritage.
