Help to feed Hungry and Malnourished children!

By Sumedha Sharma | Project Leader

Dear Global Givers,

Greetings and compliments of the season! As the new year rings in, so does iPartner India's continued commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate. As our first report for the year, it is with great pleasure that we present an update on the ‘Help to Feed Hungry and Malnourished Children’ project.

Initiated in September 2022, through your support, iPartner India has completed over a year of dedication to feeding nutritional meals to 100 street children in the Jama Masjid area in Delhi, India. Each day two freshly cooked meals as per the children's preferences are provided to them.

During the reporting period, the project continued to make substantial progress. In response to the children's preferences, two menu adjustments were made in the first week of November 2023. The team took care to ensure that the substituted items in the menu met the nutritional requirements.

From August 25, 2023, to December 24, 2023, a total of 102 days of meal distribution took place across various locations in Old Delhi where more homeless people are located. Over this period, 19,713 meals were served to street children, comprising 9,681 breakfasts and 10,068 lunches. On an average, 100 children were provided with two nutritious meals daily.

A robust food quality inspection system was established before breakfast and lunch. This dual-check approach ensured high food standards and addressed any concerns promptly. Feedback from the children was actively sought and used to improve the project.

The project, despite making significant progress, encountered challenges such as occasional vendor delivery delays due to unavoidable circumstances. Additionally, there has been a community request to extend services to more children, a demand that iPartner India is unable to fulfill due to constraints in available funds from both online and offline sources. Consequently, crowd management has become a significant challenge.

As we continue our mission to feed hungry and malnourished children, we humbly appeal for your continued support. Together, we can create a lasting impact and provide a brighter future for these children.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Team iPartner India
